Who are we?

PMD Group Of Companies is a group specializing primarily in Telecommunications, Security, Hardware, IT, Butchery, Graphix & Web Development, Automotive Services, Recruitment, ISP Services, Store Logistics, HR & Payroll Services.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Media

No media collection is being done on any of our websites and therefore makes this section irrelevant.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

We share your data with internal & external companies to be able to compile quotes and invoices according to your request.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights do you have over your data?

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

PMD recognizes that its priority under the POPI Act is to avoid causing harm to individuals. PMD will keep information securely in the right hands and retain good quality information.

The Act aims to ensure that the legitimate concerns of individuals about the ways in which their data may be used are taken into account. In addition to being open and transparent, PMD will seek to give individuals as much choice as it possible and reasonable over what data is held and how it is used.

  • Insufficient clarity about the range of uses to which data will be, leading to candidates being insufficiently informed

  • Breach of security by allowing unauthorized access
  • Harm to individuals if personal data is not up to date

PMD respects the privacy of all candidates. We collect and process information of candidates in order to place them successfully in an appropriate position.

PMD may disclose candidate information to potential employers.

Personal Information Security

According to the POPI Act “Personal Information” means information relating to an identifiable, living, natural person, and where it is applicable, an identifiable, existing juristic person.

PMD is legally obliged to provide adequate protection for the Personal Information we hold to stop unauthorized access and use of personal information. PMD will, on an on-going basis, continue to review our security controls and related processes to ensure that all candidate’s Personal Information is secure.
